Ingredients

Brownie Batter

  • Brownie mix or homemade brownie batter (amount as per package or recipe)
  • Unsalted butter (for batter and cookie dough layers)
  • Vanilla extract (for added flavor)
  • Egg or egg substitute (for batter binding)
  • Salt (a pinch to enhance flavors)

Edible Cookie Dough

  • Unsalted butter (softened)
  • Brown sugar (for sweetness and moisture)
  • White sugar (for sweetness and chewiness)
  • All-purpose flour (heat-treated for safety)
  • Vanilla extract
  • Chocolate chips
  • Egg or egg substitute (to bind and create texture)
  • Salt (a pinch)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the brownie batter: Mix your brownie ingredients according to your favorite recipe or box mix instructions until the batter is smooth and ready for layering.
  2. Make the edible cookie dough: In a separate bowl, combine softened butter, brown and white sugars, heat-treated flour, vanilla extract, and salt until creamy and well blended. Fold in chocolate chips at the end.
  3. Layer the ingredients: Fill mini cupcake liners or a mini muffin tin about halfway with brownie batter. Add a small spoonful of cookie dough on top, then cover with another layer of brownie batter.
  4. Bake the bites: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are set and the center remains soft and fudgy. Avoid overbaking to keep the gooey texture.
  5. Cool and enjoy: Let the brownie bites cool completely before removing from the pan to maintain their shape and gooeyness. Serve at room temperature or gently warm if preferred.

Notes

  • Don’t overmix the brownie batter to prevent tough brownies.
  • Use heat-treated flour in the cookie dough to ensure it is safe to eat raw.
  • Chill cookie dough before baking to maintain distinct layers and prevent melting.
  • Check baking time early as ovens vary to avoid drying the bites.
  • Use mini cupcake liners for neat, easy serving portions.
