Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Festive Add-Ins and Toppings

  • Holiday sprinkles or crushed candy canes, as desired
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract (for a minty twist)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter (for peanut butter swirl)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup dried cranberries (for white chocolate cranberry variation)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or foil, leaving some overhang to easily lift out the fudge once set.
  2. Melt Ingredients Together: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk, white chocolate chips, and butter. Stir continuously until everything is completely melted and smooth, taking care not to overheat or burn the mixture.
  3. Add Flavorings: Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract along with any additional flavorings such as peppermint extract to enhance the holiday taste.
  4. Mix in Extras: Gently fold in mix-ins like crushed candy canes, nuts, or dried cranberries, ensuring they are evenly distributed without breaking the smooth texture.
  5. Pour and Chill: Pour the fudge mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle extra toppings on top if desired. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  6. Cut and Serve: Once set, use the parchment paper overhang to lift the fudge out of the pan. Cut into small squares and enjoy or package for gifting.

Notes

  • Use high-quality white chocolate chips for the richest, creamiest fudge texture.
  • Melt the ingredients slowly over low heat to avoid burning or graininess.
  • Bring butter and extracts to room temperature before mixing to help them blend evenly.
  • Always line your pan with parchment or foil to ensure easy removal of fudge.
  • Allow fudge to chill thoroughly for the best texture and firmness before cutting.
  • For clean cuts without crumbling, warm a sharp knife in hot water, dry it, and slice between pieces.
