Ingredients

Scale

Fresh Fruit

  • 1 to 2 cups seasonal fresh fruit (e.g., berries, mango, peaches), washed and chopped

Dairy Base

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (or coconut/almond yogurt for dairy-free)

Sweeteners

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust based on fruit sweetness)

Citrus

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon or lime juice

Optional Mix-Ins

  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons shredded coconut
  • 1 teaspoon spirulina or matcha powder (for superfood boost)
  • 1 tablespoon nut butter (for added richness and protein)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Fruit: Wash and chop your chosen fresh fruit into small pieces to ensure easier blending and a smooth yet textured consistency.
  2. Blend the Ingredients: In a blender, combine the chopped fruit, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, and lemon or lime juice. Blend until smooth but retaining a slight texture for bite.
  3. Add Mix-Ins (Optional): Stir in optional ingredients like chia seeds or shredded coconut by hand to distribute them evenly without blending away their texture.
  4. Pour Into Popsicle Molds: Evenly divide the mixture into prepared popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top to allow for expansion during freezing.
  5. Freeze Until Firm: Place the molds in the freezer for at least 4 to 6 hours, preferably overnight, until the pops are completely solid.

Notes

  • Use ripe fruit for natural sweetness without needing extra sugar.
  • Don’t over-blend; leaving some fruit chunks adds pleasant texture.
  • Pre-chill the yogurt before mixing to speed up freezing and keep pops creamy.
  • Fill molds evenly to prevent cracking during freezing.
  • To remove pops easily, briefly run molds under warm water for a few seconds.
