Instructions

  2. Mash and Mix: While the potatoes are still warm, mash them using a potato masher or ricer. Gradually add melted butter, minced garlic, and warm milk while stirring until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Assemble the Bake: Transfer the mashed potato mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top and add fresh herbs if desired.
