Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Pan: Line an 8×8 inch square baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it to ensure your fudge releases easily once set.
  2. Melt Butter and Chocolate: In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, add the semisweet chocolate chips and stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and shiny.
  3. Add Condensed Milk and Coffee: Stir in the sweetened condensed milk along with the instant coffee granules and a pinch of salt. Keep mixing until the coffee granules have fully dissolved and the mixture is uniform.
  4. Flavor with Vanilla: Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, blending it evenly throughout the fudge base.
  5. Pour and Chill: Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm enough to cut cleanly.
  6. Slice and Serve: Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment edges. Cut into bite-sized squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use quality chocolate for a richer flavor.
  • Don’t skip the coffee granules to achieve the robust mocha taste without bitterness.
  • Stir constantly when melting to prevent burning and ensure a silky mixture.
  • Chill thoroughly so the fudge sets properly, making slicing easier.
  • Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness and moisture.
