Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 24 Oreo Cookies (approximately 1 package), crushed finely
  • 8 oz (225g) Cream Cheese, softened
  • 12 oz (340g) Chocolate Chips or Melting Chocolate for coating

Optional Toppings

  • Sprinkles
  • Chopped Nuts
  • Chocolate Drizzle

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Place Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until you have fine, even crumbs. If you don’t have a processor, place the cookies in a sealed plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin until finely crushed.
  2. Mix with Cream Cheese: In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese. Use a spoon or your hands to knead the mixture until fully blended and smooth, forming a thick dough-like consistency.
  3. Form the Balls: Using a small cookie scoop or your hands, roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy handling.
  4. Chill the Balls: Place the tray in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up the Oreo Balls before dipping, which helps the coating adhere better.
  5. Dip in Chocolate: Melt your chocolate chips or melting chocolate gently in a microwave or double boiler. Using a fork or toothpick, dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, covering it completely. Place back on the parchment paper and add any optional toppings before the chocolate hardens.
  6. Final Chill: Let the dipped Oreo Balls set in the refrigerator for at least an hour to fully harden the chocolate coating. Once firm, they’re ready to serve or store.

Notes

  • Use Room Temperature Cream Cheese for smooth blending without lumps.
  • Do Not Overmix to maintain a soft texture.
  • Chill Twice: before and after dipping for best shape and coating adhesion.
  • Melt Chocolate Slowly using low heat to prevent seizing or burning.
  • Use a Cookie Scoop for uniform size and easy rolling.
