Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups crunchy sugar cookies, finely crumbled
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Coating

  • 8 oz white chocolate chips

Optional Toppings

  • Sprinkles or colored sugar for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cookie Crumbs: Start by crushing your sugar cookies into fine crumbs. You can do this by placing them in a sealed bag and using a rolling pin or pulsing briefly in a food processor. The finer the crumbs, the smoother your truffles will be.
  2. Mix with Cream Cheese and Sugar: Combine the cookie crumbs with softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a large bowl. Add vanilla extract for depth. Mix until everything is fully incorporated into a smooth, pliable dough-like consistency.
  3. Form the Truffle Balls: Roll the mixture into bite-sized balls, about one inch each. Place them on a parchment-lined tray and chill for at least 30 minutes to firm up. This step helps the truffles hold their shape when dipping.
  4. Melt the White Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, gently melt the white chocolate chips until smooth, stirring frequently to avoid burning.
  5. Dip and Decorate: Using a fork or toothpick, dip each chilled truffle ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Place back on the parchment paper, and while the coating is still wet, add sprinkles or colored sugar if desired. Let them set completely.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese to ensure a smooth mixture without lumps.
  • Chill truffles thoroughly before dipping to prevent them from breaking apart.
  • For a thicker chocolate shell, dip truffles twice in the melted chocolate.
  • Work quickly when handling melted chocolate as it hardens fast.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container to maintain freshness and texture.
